Savology Leadership Team
Savology is a venture-backed startup that is on a mission to improve the financial security of millions of American households by making financial planning, financial literacy, and financial wellness more accessible and more actionable than ever before.
Savology, based in the Silicon Slopes of Utah, was founded by Spencer Barclay in early 2019.
Spencer Barclay, Founder & CEO
Spencer is a serial entrepreneur that has built and helped build startup ventures covering other areas of personal finance and financial services, such as credit, estate planning, investing, financial wellness, and retirement planning. Most recently, he was COO at BenefitGuard, a venture-backed 401(k) provider for small businesses, where he helped develop and sell the company in a multi-million dollar deal to HealthEquity.
Spencer earned his MBA from Westminster College where he also completed a bachelor’s degree in economics. He met his wife there and now they live in Lehi, Utah with their three children. He is passionate about personal finance, economics, politics, golf, and football.
Tim Hecht, VP of Engineering
Tim is an incredibly talented technology leader, developer, and architect. He was most recently at Henry Schein as Architect & Senior Engineer, where he managed the build out of the cloud-based practice management platform. He was also a Software Engineer at both Domo and Qualtrics in their early days. Tim has a bachelor’s degree in Physics from BYU.
As VP of Engineering at Savology, Tim is responsible for leading the development team to build the financial wellness platform and financial planning engine.
Jordan Pinedo, Head of Partnerships
Jordan has a deep passion for anything finance related and has a rich background in personal finance, employee benefits, and relationship management. He was most recently the Partner Manager at HealthEquity where he worked with and developed strategic solutions with enterprise retirement plan record keeping partners. Prior to his tenure at HealthEquity, Jordan had served in many sales, operations, customer success and relationship management capacities at local startups.
Jordan received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Utah Valley University. As Head of Partnerships at Savology, Jordan is responsible for developing strategic relationships with employers, financial institutions, educational institutions, and financial advisors.
