Crawl, Walk, Run: How a Savology Partnership Actually Launches

August 10, 2026

The fastest way to kill an organizational partnership is to make the first step enormous: contracts, integrations, data agreements, committees. By the time the launch happens, the champion who wanted it has moved on. We structure partnerships the opposite way — each stage small enough to start this month, each one earning the next.

The first stage is nothing more than a link to the report card survey, placed wherever your community already looks — a resource page, a newsletter, a mobile app. Members who follow it get a free financial report card in about three minutes, then a personalized plan. No contract complexity, no integration, nothing for your team to operate. What the crawl stage proves is the only thing worth proving first: whether your community wants this. Participation is visible to you in aggregate from day one.

Walk: a co-branded community

When the link earns it, the community gets its own home: a dedicated organization on the platform, co-branded, with your members arriving through your own invite link into an experience that knows who sent them. Resources can be tailored — a school district’s members see different emphasis than a health system’s — and your organization sees aggregate grades and participation for its own population, never any individual’s finances. This is the stage where the partnership becomes measurable: which subjects your community struggles with, and whether the grades move.

Run: a brand of its own

Some communities outgrow co-branding and become brands in their own right — a full front door under the partner’s identity, built on the Savology platform underneath. That is not hypothetical: the community brands running today — for healthcare professionals, healthcare staff, school staff, and parents — are run-stage partnerships, each with its own name, audience, and voice, sharing one report card engine.

What never changes across the stages

Three constants at every stage. Your members own their own data, and your organization never handles it — there are no feeds or files at any stage. Your members are never treated as a list: if advisor introductions are part of your community’s model — and that is decided with you, up front — each one happens with the individual’s consent, on a real need their own report card shows, to a qualified, well-vetted advisor. And your brand leads — Savology is the infrastructure, not the star.

The crawl stage starts with one conversation. Here is where that starts.
