Savology has partnered with BOUND, a nonprofit working to prevent evictions, donating Savology platform licenses so that the tenants BOUND serves get more than emergency help — they get a financial plan.

BOUND’s model addresses one of the most destabilizing events a household can face. An eviction cascades: housing, credit, employment, and family stability all take the hit at once, and the public cost far exceeds the missed rent that triggers it. BOUND intervenes before that cascade starts, working with landlords and tenants to resolve cases and keep families housed. The organization is on track to fund tens of thousands of dollars of eviction prevention this year — its first funded case cost $1,650, a fraction of what the eviction it prevented would have cost everyone involved — and plans to raise a perpetual fund to sustain the work.

Savology’s role is the layer after the emergency. Every tenant BOUND works with can build a free financial report card and personalized plan on the Savology platform: grades across their whole financial life, prioritized action items, and the budgeting, credit, and savings tools to act on them. Crisis intervention resolves the moment; a plan addresses what comes next. BOUND is live on the platform today, with its first tenants already using it.

The partnership reflects how Savology works with mission-driven organizations generally: the organization keeps its own brand and its own relationship with the people it serves, and Savology adds the personal financial wellbeing layer underneath. As with every organization on the platform, each individual’s report card and plan are private to the individual, and BOUND sees aggregate participation only. Any advisor introduction on Savology happens intentionally or not at all — an individual’s own consent, a real need shown by their own report card, and a qualified, well-vetted advisor — and whether introductions apply to a partner community is agreed with the partner up front.
